Basuri (flute) is a parallel hollow music instrument. Basuri is strongly attached with the Hindu religion. It is believed that Lord Krishna used to play Basuri very well and used to carry most of the time with him. Gopini(s) are attracted by the melodious sound of Basuri played by Lord Krishna. Basuri is made of wood, bamboo and metal in different sizes with artistic decoration in it. This small and light music instrument produces melodious sound and widely played and found in most part of this Himalayan country Nepal. Basuri is made in almost every part of Nepal.
